Hey!
I'm planning to go soon to Australia but i have a little problem. I don't know how much I must pack! I want to travel with a car so I would need a tent etc.! Buying in my country or in Australia?

It depends what kind of experience you want.
If you want a comfortable journey, bring as much stuff as you want. You could even bring your own directors chair covers, slip pillowslips and eco friendly furniture. Note my protruding tongue in cheek.
If you want to open your mind to another way of living, a simple non materialistic way, then pack a small bag and enjoy the thrill of surviving. Aussies are a generous and honest bunch, if you end up sleeping on the street, you can guarantee someone will shout you a cheeseburger if you look desperate enough.
On the third hand, is the option whereby you bring your own electronics (as they are well overpriced in Australia), but bring hardly anything else. Lower your standard for many things and you will have a whale of a time.

Re: What to pack?
Travellers to Australia are advised to use a backpack because it is easier to carry and also more convenient. A suitcase is not recommended for travellers. You are advised to pack your luggage lightly as it is more convenient to carry. You are also advised to check with Customs and Quarantine on their website about what you can or cannot bring with you to Australia. !
