Traveling to Oz on my own.......

You are still in your home country and you are planning to go to Australia?

Traveling to Oz on my own.......

Postby kylebuckland » Thu Jul 28, 2011 3:38 am

Off to Oz in March/April time all on my lonesome!

I'm a 26 year old chap just bored of life and decided to sell everything i own and go travel. I spent 6 years DJ'n in party places around europe, then came back to England to set up home... most boring thing i've done in my life!

Just wondering do many people travel Australia on their own?

I leave in exactly a month today- on my own.
Everyone I know that has done it and on all the forums i've checked, they say going alone is the best way to do it; as you make more friends that way and dont have anyone holding you back, or you have to compromise with!

I'll let you know how it goes!

Hi,

Im 21, and from Holland and just got my diploma, and i have NO idea what i want to as a career ore if i want a following studie.. Im am sick of the bad wheather! so thats why i am going on this Oz adventure.

I am going 15 november on my own to Australia, and if heard and read it to.. the best way to go is alone! 99% goes alone, so evereybody makes friends easyer, and you can go your own way! You dont have to see what the other person wants and stuf!

Hello!

I think it's more flexible to travel alone than to be with friends/partners. I'm going to Aus by end of December! Celebrating Christmas & NYE in Melb, so what about others?

Good luck!

Hey Rob, I sent you a private message about a trip from Melbourne to Sydney - did you receive it? It's sitting in my 'outbox' - yet it has a sent date and time. Weird.

Cheers,
Grace

I already left Perth. I stayed for 2 weeks at Easy Perth Backpackers. It's a nice hostel where you'll find lots of people to travel with.

Wow ! Traveling Can Boost Your Social Skills.
Many people who used to be socially clueless and then got over it can trace a lot of their improvement back to a few key choices they made. For some people it was deciding to go traveling. They got so many social benefits out of it that they weren't the same when they got back. Personally, this was a big factor in my own social development. I visited Australia for a year after finishing my undergrad degree.

Great idea . Goodluck !
